Introduction
Al-Qasim Green University is committed to providing an academic and working environment free from discrimination, harassment, and victimization. The aim of this policy is to prevent any form of discrimination or harassment and ensure that all students, staff, faculty, and visitors are treated with respect and dignity.
The University recognizes that discrimination and harassment are damaging to individuals' well-being and the functioning of the academic and professional community. Accordingly, this policy sets clear standards for acceptable behavior, sets out procedures for dealing with complaints, and outlines steps the University will take to prevent and respond to incidents of discrimination and harassment.

Objectives
To provide a respectful and inclusive environment in which all individuals may work, study, and engage without fear of harassment or discrimination.
To define and make known what constitutes discrimination and harassment behaviors.
To have a definite procedure for reporting and addressing discrimination and harassment complaints.
To ensure that individuals discriminated against or harassed are supported and protected from further harm.
Scope of the Policy
This policy shall apply to all students, staff, faculty, contractors, visitors, and any other party that comes into contact with the university community, including:
All administrative and education staff members.
Undergraduate and graduate students.
University visitors such as guest speakers, contractors, and event attendants.
Any other party involved in university-sponsored activities or programs.
Definitions
Discrimination occurs when an individual or group of individuals is treated unfairly or less favorably on the basis of a protected trait, including but not limited to race, color, ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability, religion, age, marital status, pregnancy, or political opinion.
Harassment is any unwelcome conduct creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working environment. Harassment can be physical, verbal, or visual behavior, including but not limited to: Racial or ethnic slurs, jokes, or insults based on an individual's race or ethnic origin.
Offensive remarks, jokes, or gestures.
Physical intimidation or threats.
Victimization: Victimization is any type of retaliation against an individual who files a complaint or is the subject of an investigation regarding discrimination or harassment.
Policy Statement
Al-Qasim Green University is committed to:
Embracing equality, fairness, and respect for all.
Positive action to prevent discrimination and harassment from occurring within the university community.
Effectively and reasonably addressing complaints of harassment or discrimination.
Hospitality and service to victims of harassment or discrimination.
To ensure that the complainant is safeguarded against retaliatory acts.
Responsibilities
University Leadership: The University leadership, as represented by the President, Deans, and Directors, will implement this policy and create an inclusive and respectful university culture.
Human Resources (HR) and Student Affairs: HR and Student Affairs offer training, support, and guidance to students, faculty, and staff, and conduct investigations of discrimination and harassment complaints.
All Staff, Faculty, and Students: All members of the university community are required to:
Treat others with respect and dignity.
Refrain from any form of discriminatory or harassing behavior.
Report incidents of discrimination or harassment.
Participate in training and awareness programs.
Reporting Discrimination or Harassment.
Al-Qasim Green University has established reporting channels for incidents of discrimination or harassment. Any person who believes that they have been or have witnessed being discriminated against or harassed may report the incident through the following channels:
Human Resources (for staff issues)
Student Affairs Office (for student issues)
Complaints may be made confidentially, and the University will make sure to investigate all complaints completely and impartially.
Confidentiality
The University will keep all persons involved in the complaint process confidential. Disclosure will be made only to those with a need to know so that the determination and finalization of the resolution of the complaint may be decided. Perfect confidentiality cannot always be assured in all cases, especially when a disciplinary action is needed.
